Communication:
Update on revised Or4Ne logo
Andy will be sending back some final drafts and color sets
John will email him to inquire about status
E-mail blasts done by Garrick/update from Chuck
Chuck inquired about how to compensate Garrick and he hasn’t responded
Chuck put in some info to Garrick about posting the Thirsty Thursday night (June 14th) on the website
Next email blast: BRW cancelled, food drive, beaver’s game
5. Special Events:
Final comments on cancelled Big Red Weekend event (John)
Donation of Nautilus machine and dumbbells – what to do with? Potentially will use as season end raffle prize
Lisa had a senior moment
How do we alert folks it is cancelled? Have Garrick send an email blast.
Possible reasons why? Gas prices, procrastination, people too busy
It was the conclusion by some, that many chapter members wait till the last moment to sign up, as was the case for the Nebraska basketball game and other events. It was thought that if the sign up for the BRW could have been held open till the deadline, there might have been a significant increase in people that signed up.
Annual Summer Picnic (Sandy)
August 18th
Visit of campsite went well
Will have to work on signage and clear advertising of parking fees
There is a nice grill and sink onsite
Sandi will check to see if the park provides a volleyball net
Need to check into the possibility of getting a copy of Spring Game to show at picnic (there is electricity)

Continued discussion of College Alumni Night with the Beavers
7:05 Thursday, June 14th

Steve will take camera to get photos from game for website
Chad’s wife is on the coed team and she is great!
8. New Business:
Continued discussion on NAA chapter changes
Are we a booster club or an Alumni Chapter?
28 chapters, including us, have sent in their agreement letter with the new NAA chapter mission and goal statement.
The NAA continues to refine the new chapter mission and goals and thanks the chapters for the feedback that was supplied.
With the feedback supplied by chapters, the NAA will also continue to revise marketing resources available to us in order to maximize their effectiveness in recruiting new life and annual members.
The current projected goal of 8 new annual and 4 new life members for this year will be difficult to attain, however, we’ll give it our best shot.
John will look into getting a list of current NAA members
Chuck recommended getting list of annual members and trying to upgrade them
Lisa posed offering additional discounts or incentives to NAA members and Chuck added that we could throw in a free t-shirt with a new membership
We will need to appoint a chairperson to take on the job of Chapter/NAA Membership
Lagging membership for OR4NE – people that attend watch parties but aren’t members
Package both memberships – OR4NE and NAA – as one item was suggested as a future possibility
6. Adjournment. Next meeting: Saturday, June 9th, 9am at
Airport Shari’s
