AUGUST 16th

Annual Chapter Summer Picnic
WHAT A BLAST
we had! There were over 50 people in attendance! It was so awesome to see old friends and to welcome new ones!

The weather was warm but we stayed cool with an egg toss, water balloon toss and oh yeah the water balloon fight! Thanks Larry for being such a good sport and a great grandpa!

This was the first time our family went to Dabney State Park in Troutdale and it was a beautiful clean park with plenty of room to grow (hint hint we will see you next year). By the way, the food was awesome too! Great baked beans Chuck and Sandy!

I would like to give a special thank you to our board members who organized and planned this wonderful opportunity for all of us. It was nice to be able to get to know fellow Husker Fans and Alumni! You could feel the energy starting to build for the next watch party season. See you there!

BO BIG RED! BO BIG RED! BO BIG RED! BO BIG RED!

The excitement is beginning to build for the 2008 football season as defensive guru Bo Pelini takes over at the helm.  Questions abound as the Huskers head into the new season:  Who will emerge on the defense to regain the proud Blackshirts tradition? Will Marlon Lucky have a breakout season?  Can Joey Ganz lead the team to a Big XII Championship?  Will Bo Pelini bobble heads be available in time for Christmas?

Join us at The Refectory to watch every televised game of the 2008 season.  Minors are welcome to attend any game that starts prior to 7pm.  No smoking will be allowed in the immediate watch party area, and the smoke-eaters will be working to keep the air clean.  Games will be broadcast in high definition when available.  We look forward to seeing you there.  Remember to arrive early, as the seats tend to fill up quickly!

Please join us at the Refectory on 122nd and Halsey

for another season of Husker Football.

The excitement level is high as a new coaching staff debuts the 2008 Huskers at the end of the month. The high powered offence has several returning starters including a strong line, Joe Ganz at QB and Marlon Lucky at running back. The big question is the defense. The defensive coaches are taking a much different tact from the past few years with an attacking style defense geared toward creating turnovers. There is a great deal of optimism that the defense will be much improved. Will it be? Join us and find out on August 30th.

First game crowds have been large the last few years, so be sure to arrive early to get a good seat.

*Family rates are new this year for pay per view games.

Family is defined as Mom, Dad, and immediate children.
