Due to a full house at the watch party; my seat was down in front directly in front of a 70” or better HD Giant Projection Screen. I was doing my best to stay out of the way of my fellow husker fans behind me for most of the game. I was actually holding my head in my hands seconds before the kick. Then I looked up, saw the kick, and knew it was going to be good. Then it went through the goal posts. Then I jumped out of my chair, screamed at the top of my voice (I’ll pretend not to remember what), turned around only to be blinded by the projector, and I’m sure looked like a spaz because I couldn’t see who or where the High Fives were coming from. I didn’t know if that really happened or if I had a heart attack and needed to go towards the blue light in the middle of my vision or what. LOL LOL Boy do I love replays. It took me a while to even realize I was jumping around like I was on a pogo stick. Thank God nobody could hear anything and I was also thankful that they could care less and/or didn’t notice me attempting to recover from the shocking chain of events that had just taken place. No wondered why I couldn’t get any thoughts in my head to translate into anything but incoherent babbling. Then I immediately thought Good job Henry!!!! 57 YARDS!!! School record, 57 yards… Then the number 114 came to mind. Then I realized that 57 yard interception, then the 57 yard field goal had to be the most unbelievable 114 yards Mr Henry will ever or has ever been part of or even watched in his life. GOOD JOB HENRY! I believe there has only been 4 Clutch Kicks in the NFL that have been further than what seemed to be a quarter mile that day. (One of them being a Husker). There are no “EX-Huskers” in my opinion. Josh Brown St. Louis Rams 58 yds Rob Bironas Tennessee Titans 60 yds Matt Bryant Tampa Bay Buccaneers 62 yds Jason Elam Atlanta Falcons 63 yds Pretty good company I would have to say. I, for one, will never forget The Henry 57! So, maybe my analytical side did kick in… I’ll have to get back to you on that one. Big Red Rog.
